My husband and I competed in the Tri-State Super Spartan on Sat., Sept. 7. It was crazy!!!! But really awesome to finally finish. Our time was horrible and embarrassing, but for our first obstacle ever, I’m really proud of ourselves. I’m most thankful for my hubby racing with me and pushing me through it. He’s the best!!!
I’ll be doing it again next year. Training starts today. Now that I know exactly what to expect, and how far I can push my body, I’m going back to kick some major ass!!!
Made fish tacos for dinner last night. It was my cheat meal, but I made a healthier version because I didn’t want my cheat meal to erase any progress I’ve made. Whole wheat bread crumbs, oregano, sea salt, garlic, white pepper coated with safflower oil and baked. Topped with avocado, tomatoes, and red onion with lime juice with corn tortillas. So yummy!
I’ve been doing 2 workouts 6 times a week for the last 2 weeks. Today it was week 3, day 1 of T25 (total body circuit) and a 3mile run outdoors. Also fit in some push ups, squats, jump squats, tricep dips, and burpees.
Ran my first 5k yesterday and I’m pretty proud of myself! It was hot, humid, and at times I wanted to throw up, but I made it. It’s a big difference from the girl I was a year ago. I’ve come a long way and am excited for the future in my fitness journey.
I’ve been getting so good about buying more fresh produce and USING it. A year ago, I would make the effort and buy the produce but it normally went to waste. I think my biggest obstacle was knowing what to do with it. I educated myself, and learned that there are so many recipes, juices, and smoothies that can be made from a few simple ingredients.
